Experience the Festival of Architecture in Antwerp from 8 to 17 September. This year, Antwerp is the host city for this biennial event. You can look forward to numerous lectures, performances and activities relating to architecture.
For ten whole days, the festival puts architecture in the spotlight across the city, with deSingel arts campus at the epicentre. The event homes in on the importance of architecture for a well-designed living environment. As well as designers, artists and users also share their interpretation and experience of architecture.
During ‘Architecture Night’, the opening festivities at deSingel, you can join in a debate, pick up some bargains during the alternative book sale and auction, admire architectural films and take part in a speed dating session with architects, scientists, politicians and artists. You can also live it up on the dance floor or quench your thirst in the café.
During the ten-day festival there are concerts, lectures, guided tours and exhibitions. On Sunday 10 September, the festival also ventures beyond the bounds of the city. Remarkable buildings and unusual design agencies throughout Flanders and Brussels will open their doors to the public.
