Mechelen was an unknown City for my Partner and I. We had travelled to Gent and Brugge, yet Mechelen doesn’t seem to be promoted to UK visitors. Wow – what a town! Fabulous selection of shops in Mechelen, in particular the pop ups. Elisabeth Hotel was a home away from home, comfortable bed, beautiful shower and the room was clean and bright. Wireless worked well! Breakfast provided a good selection of fruit, cereals and some cooked food also. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful in pointing us in the right direction. Ideal location for day trips to Netherlands. Will be visiting again, especially during Summer to enjoy their Olive garden.
